Chapter No. 29 provides fundraising and local business involvement in showing our appreciation for the Law Enforcement that protects and serves the Fredericksburg and Stafford Communities.
"Music From The Heart"
The Rappahannock POPS Orchestra is to provides professional-quality musical performances to communities in and around the Rappahannock region, and to promote music education, musical awareness, and music appreciation in our community.
"A Mission to Giving Back"
Semper K9 rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to be service dogs at no cost for disabled service members. Each dog is custom trained to the specific needs of their wounded veterans.
Community Service
PuppyUp Fredericksburg raises awareness, funds and provides education in the field of comparative oncology and the links between canine and human cancer. It is a day to honor and recognize those who have survived or are battling cancer, and memorialize those whose lives have been lost to this disease.
I want to invite you to volunteer this year. Volunteering to support activities for our Chapter and community is an important part of being an Eastern Star member. Volunteering gives us a chance to shine our star and help our community.
Last year the Chapter went through the process to become a "Certifying Organization" for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program. This provides us the ability to recognize the hours our members give to our Chapter and community service projects. Two members received the Bronze Award this past year. I think we can easily increase that number. So, if you bake for the bake sales; shop for Easter or back to School items; cook and/or serve for the Masonic dinners; work the craft fair, etc., your hours all count as Volunteer Service hours for you and the Chapter.
Here are some of the community service projects that we're involved with.

Chapter 29 works closely with Stafford County Child Protective Services, Fredericksburg Social Services, and King George County Department of Social Services to provide Easter baskets, school supplies and Christmas presents to children in foster care and other children in need.
